It's Sora Bryson's Birthday - 7 Apr - 59 years "young"

Her new "hairdresser" or was that "stylist"?

She came home to flowers and a
Birhtday card . . . "La Mulţi Ani"

"Ain't they purdy?"

Common Sites Around Galaţi

This Orthodox Church was built in the mid 1600's
as both a church and a fortress against the Turks.
It overlooks the Dunarea (Danube) so they could see
the enemy coming across the river.

This is a big "Port Authority" ship in Galaţi port on
the Dunarea right on the Faleza where we love to walk.

This is a very common site . . . . a horse drawn cart
going down the road with cars all around . . .
and no body thinks it is strange.

This is the "view outside" for many in Galaţi and
many other cities. They are called "blocks" and it
was the communists way to know where everybody
was . . . right there in town where they should be.
Sure seems normal to us right now.

Beautiful sites of Romania (just a peek, actually)

This is the oldest Orthodox Cathedral in Iaşi
(just outside our hotel window)

Palata Stefan Cel Mare in Iaşi
(Palace of Stephen the Great -
also out our hotel window)

Beautiful fruit trees in bloom everywhere we went
this spring. The countryside dotted with yellow
and white blossoms everywhere.

This is the Peoples Palace in Bucharest - It is
the second largest building in the world next to
the Pentagon in Washington DC

Branch Family Home Evening - Bible & BoM Skits

This would be Moise
[Romanian for Moses]
(AKA Sora Bryson)
. . . . just about ready to
part the Red Sea . . . .
I think . . .
By the look on "His" face,
he thinks he can do it too.

This would be Delila (Sora Maria) about ready to
cut Sampson's (Arabela) long beautiful hair. By the
way, Arabela does have "long and beautiful" hair.

Below we have Laman (Elder Miles) & Lemuel (Elder
Letham) giving Nephi (Elder Sorensen) a hard time
as usual. (Why does Nephi look so happy about it all?)

Young Single Adult (YSA) Outreach Service Project

Cutting out material for receiving blankets
and "burp" cloths for babies at the orphanages.
The girls (Tanţa, Marie and Arabela)
and Elder Bryson cut them out . . . .

. . . . and Sora Bryson irons them to get
them ready to sew together.

Sora Blaj, our Relief Society President sets the
machine up to show the girls how to sew them together.

Arabela tries her hand at the sewing machine . .
Yikes!!
